I have to say that I have a ton of respect for Gypsy's parents!
It must be very hard to see the person they seem to have raised in a good and honest, ethical way went the complete opposite and disgraced their family.
For the mom to come out and testify the way she did and later on HLN after dark to be interviewed and how they responded, was something many parents can take a lesson from!
The daughter Gypsy is a mom herself and it makes me wonder how she is raising her child and if she even has custody which would be disturbing.
The testimony of ADA was very powerful and IMO the doctors faith is sealed by both testimonies and the lying of Gypsy made it even worse for the doctor.
Which woman can't remember if she got a 4.5 carat engagement ring when asked to be married after searching bid websites for a ring for days....
Vanessa the mother of ADA is on the stand...some had reported Rachel to be the mom but according to HLN (if i can believe them) Vanessa is the birth mother...she was a drug abuser and is on probation.
It seems this family had huge issues...what a mess of a family behind the beautiful pictures.
Generally, DOs go into primary care specialties. MacNeill was board certified in Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine. Re: residency the AOA and NRMP match lists are public record. You can look on their websites for the information. It's generally tabulated by graduating class year.
It's the deceit to others that matters most to me about Ada's bio mom.

I'll have to check that again. I'd believe a Salt Lake City reporter who spent a year getting facts before HLN.
Honestly, it doesn't matter to me who Ada's bio mom. It's the fact more lies were occurring in the family. To this day, I've seen nothing documenting who her bio father is. I can't help but wonder about the defendent as more and more info is coming out about women raped, sexually abused and his multiple mistresses. If Gypsy thought she was his first ( or potentially last), evidence or testimonies of others prove that isn't true.
Here is a quick update from this a.m. that contains two key pieces of info I've wondered since I learned of Michele's death. Alexis testified that under her care her mother did NOT receive Ambien, phenergan or Valium. Yet they were found on Michele's toxicology screen. Also, the question of Potassium came up. I've always wondered about K+ as MacNeill would have had access to K+ at USDC. It certainly would cause a cardiac situation if the dose was high enough plus all the other sedating drugs at doses exceeding how they were prescribed.
It just dawned on me when the former girlfriend of MacNeill's son testified she talked about flushing pills down the toilet; however , I saw nothing about the bottle of Liquid Lortab (hydrocodone) which was also prescribed. Alexis talked a bout her mom taking 1-2 Percocet/day but nothing about the hydrocone liquid. Several sources document Michele wanting Alexis to put each pill in her hand so she knew how they felt. But nothing about the liquid hydrocone.
Testimony has resumed this afternoon. The local Provo, UT paper is live tweeting.. Scroll all the way to the bottom to get the latest. Ada was on the stand today and local news covered that quite well. I think she got some key points in with her testimony.

I've been asking for this info since day one. I've looked in CA, UT, NY, NJ, MI and WA states and can't find the info. If you have links PLEASE post!
Trust me, I have. Knowing he forged documents, he could have forged those too. I'm 98-99% he was NOT even residency trained in ER medicine. He may have made it through an FP residency, but where?
He may have matched programs but did he drop out or co mm plete a residency let alone fellowship?
He probably worked some shifts in E.R.s (small ones that ship everything) or larger ones where he was the fast track doc).
I agree DOs USE to do primary care mostly. That has changed. They are anesthesiologists, Cardiothoracic/Cardiovascular Surgeons, Neurosurgeons, Neurologists, Interventional Radiologists, Neuroradiologists, Cardiologists, Infectious Disease, G. I., ENTs, Neonatologists, Dermatologists, Orthopedic Surgeons, General and Trauma surgeons, E. R. docs, Ophthalmologists, Oncologists, Preventive Med/ Occupational Medicine docs, Psychiatrists and more specialties.
I only listed those specialists, besides the Traditional FPs, Pediatricians and OB/GYNs, because I personally know D.O.'s in those specialties.
I can't think of a residency D.O.'s can't apply for now.
I certainly agree it was different in the 80s and earlier.
Looking forward to the links cause I can't find them. Michele's sister never indicated he finished a residency. He forged documents when he was on academic probation in medical school in Mexico to transfer to CA. He also lied and forged transcripts to get accepted to law school.

Here's one of the sites that Listed MacNeill as BC in both FP and ER medicine. What does it say for medical school and residency raining locations? NOTHING.
The info at the bottom where he lost licenses is interesting to read if one has never read it.
Just because someone worked some extra shifts at a hospital doesn't mean he completed a residency.
We know MacNeill was let go from BYU's Health Center for misdiagnosing patients and sexually abusing female patients. I can think of one doctor he would have worked with who would have helped him shifts at a 20 bed hospital. Or fast track, like a PA or NP does, at the largest medical facility and "helped" him with diagnosing patients. Can you name that MD in a PM to me?
You may know the physicians, mid-levels and nursing staff better than I. Send me a PM with who negotiated contracts at USDC, who the former medical director was and the last names of the podiatrist, neurologist, psychiatrist, PM& R and GYN and 2 PAs he worked with at USDC.

I work in a med school and part of my job is preparing licensure documentation for our graduates. They're not easy to forge, every single document requires I place the school seal on them. Said seal is under lock and key in secured area. I would imagine other schools adhere to similar and appropriate safety measures. Credentialing specialists on the other end are equally fastidious. We've have paperwork returned due to small issues such as the seal being an inch beyond their specified placement.
States licensing boards require school certified transcripts, resident certificates. Just tons and tons of paper proof of education and training. I would imagine forging some or all docs would be incredibly difficult.
Also regarding board certification- to be board certified in EM he didn't need to do a residency if he was already board certified in a primary care specialty- ie Family Medicine.
