Thanks. I am sticking with the UK version then.

Did anybody watch the original of this one? I heard it was very good but never watched it.
Can't wait for the new season of Downtown Abbey.
I just saw an Ad for "Upstairs Downstairs" and it starts on PBS Sunday, April 10th!

I watched Downton Abbey last week on Netflix and fell in love with it. Now I have a ton of British series set to watch but I haven't found anything yet to match up with the brilliance of Downton Abbey although I really enjoyed Wuthering Heights with Tom Hardy. Right now I just started Daniel Daronda which I know I will love because I'm a big fan of Hugh Dancy. Does anyone know if Matthew Goode did any BBC series? I loved him in Brideshead Revisted.

It looks like he has quite a resume. I haven't watched any of the other series listed on his profile but may have to check them out too! Matthew Goode - IMDb

I also haven't found any series yet as interesting as Downton Abbey...I liked Wuthering Heights but had to watch it a couple times to really get into it. I am going through Bleak House at the moment and it is okay but not as good as Downton Abbey. I really like all the Masterpiece Classics.

I think the UK period mini-series Cranford would, in terms of excellence, give Downton Abbey a run for it's money.

Like Downton Abbey, Cranford contains a truly stellar cast including amongst others, Judi Dench, Michael Gambon, Imelda Staunton & Julia McKenzie.

There is also, for newcomers to British TV, the classic Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy & Smileys People, two of the greatest shows I've seen on TV.

Give these shows a try, you won't be dissapointed.
