Does anyone remember that once contestants name was that came on the second night? He sang a Luther Vandross song and he had a black/red flannel shirt. His parents had not ever heard him sing before until then... he was a young black guy

That is Cliffon Duffin from Chicago. They had a lot good talent that night of the Chicago auditions.
Cliffton, Lazro, and Johnny.

Thanks! I think he and Lazro, by far, were my favorites!

In the years past I often rooted for my home state contestants since North Carolina has produced winners or top 10 talent.
Like AI winners Clay Aiken, Fantasia, and Scotty McCreery and good careers for Chris Daughtry and Kelly Pickler.

I dont know if tonight the audition in Charlotte or not but here is some NC talent.

At first I thought it was he but I likeKez Ban boldness and her folksy style with Pinocchio.

I don't care for her music and she's awfully self absorbed rocking the iphone, but I value her opinion as a judge and seems to be on the side of singers
