Hey all - had to check in. Stumbled on the auditions tonight. I felt so sorry for that one girl who had to sit there while the judges acted like third graders. I have to say, though, that I thought Niki gave really good and thoughtful comments. And she was the one who said what I was thinking during that "country" conversations -- who cares what a singer settles on for their genre when they start out? Several of the finalists have changed from the first audition to the finals.
Mariah is more of a diva than Niki. I happen to be a Keith Urban fan. He's a good country gentleman, and up against the diva twins, of course he looks a little boring. Michael Jackson would look boring next to those two! I am so over Randy. I can't believe he's still there!
Well - it's interesting, but I won't be turning down plans to stay home and watch it!
Does anyone remember that once contestants name was that came on the second night? He sang a Luther Vandross song and he had a black/red flannel shirt. His parents had not ever heard him sing before until then... he was a young black guy
I'm sorry, I don't remember his name, but he was great....and his Mother's face is unforgettable....I can't imagine never having heard your son sing when he sounded like that. Hope he goes far in the contest...
