I am so confused by the judges too. Have a feeling this is going to be another Taylor Hicks (zzzz..) and Katherine McFee season (yawn).
And Ellen is suppose to be the "nice" judge and voice of the regular viewer? Who in their right mind tells a kid you should go into acting instead of singing, even if he did stink? That's like the lowest blow you can give a singer. That was painful to watch...
Anyone else think Kara seems extra flirty with Simon this season too? Like she just jumped right into Paula's empty chair. I have a hard time taking her seriously when she's draped all over Simon and touching his arm, etc.
This season is one.hot.mess.
Simon's 'already gone'...poor lad looks so bored.
But, the judges are the ones that picked these kids...and to be honest, none stand out...
It's excruciating to watch, I'm just hoping for something good to happen, vocally...

I like Crystal tonight. She does have something special. She's a bit of a throwback to when I was in college, but she's real. A young Meryl Streep. She has that same energy. And boy did she show her chops when she came and sang that after being apparently deathly ill this week. To me, that shows she can do this and she'll be around. If what you do is so compelling for you that you can reach deep and find it, even when you feel punk, then you ARE a STAR.
