I've never actually done a side by side comparison of the two systems, but i have played them both. With games such as bioshock and gears of war, are the graphics on the 360 still better than the newer ps3 games?

So far it has been my experience(i have both) That 360 takes the win for graphics(at least for now).

Uncharted blows anything the 360 has ever produced away, and yes I have had both systems. To date the only game that was a shining star on the 360 was Gears of War and nothing has come close (on that system) to date. As for the PS3 other games that blow 360 away are Unreal Tourny III, GT5 Prologue, Ratchet and Clank, Heavenly Sword, Killzone 2.
I bought a 360 a few days before Christmas for myself.
I was choosing between a PS3 and a 360.
Went with the 360 because I had heard the ports were better for the games I wanted (Rainbow Six and Orange Box). Plus, I'm a huge fan of sports games, and I've heard they play better on the 360 also. Another reason - at that time, I was partial to HD-DVD (mostly because it was cheaper) so I had no need to pay $100 for a Blu-Ray player, so I passed on that.
I hook up my 360 to the internet to get the Demos and Patches and stuff, but otherwise, I don't play online, and I probably wouldn't either if it were free.
I know the failure rate for 360's is high, but I have the newer chip, and it keeps my machine considerably cooler. Whether it actually works remains to be seen, but as of now, I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase.
Way more games of awesomeness for it.
Only 3 reasons to buy a PS3: Ratchet and Clank, Final Fantasy XIII, and Metal Gear Solid 4.
Many more great games on 360.
Just keep your PS2. You'll jones for some of those games eventually, and it'll be better for you if you keep them.
Being a ps3 owner, I must admit that at times I find myself envious of my friends with 360's because of all of the very impressive and entertaining games it has to offer. The thing that keeps me from ever regretting my purchase is the overall interface of the ps3, very clean, organized, and the quality's there. Able to rip cd's at 320 kbps, save all your photos on it and see them come to life in hd, I also love having a good internet browser on it, can check e-mails, shop around, watch youtube videos on my tv. Another thing that I fell in love with are the stunning blu-ray movies. And with all of the hyped up games coming out this fall, its just another plus heading the way of ps3 owners everywhere.
If it's any consolation, I have now decided to purchase a PS3. I just bought GTAIV yesterday at GameStop, and I'm eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Metal Gear Solid 80GB PS3 bundle in June. Thanks, everyone, for your helpful advice over the past few months!
