DC/Reagan (not the warmest station): 84.2/88.4F/86.5F/86.4F

LGA is 4.2F warmer than Logan, and Reagan is 3.2F warmer than LGA over the summer months.

You can just calculate them yourself using the NWS monthly summarized data tool. MDW sees more 90F/32C and 86F/30C days than LGA. But being in the Midwest we are also a bit more variable so we see more cool days as well, which is why the averages tilt very slightly in LGA's favor.

Noticeably hotter? You are suggesting that it isn't very noticeable between NYC and DC where there is nearly a 3-4F difference in average highs in June, July and August where the differences between LGA and MDW is 1.1F for the summer (and 0.5F if I use the UofC data).

Just for fun, a comparison of most recent 30 year averages (1986-2015) for MDW and LGA

3 month summer average max:

LGA: 83.3F
MDW:82.7F

Almost identical, but as you can see, our extreme months have more variability than LGA.

One thing I never understood on city data is, why do we debate here? How does it help us?

I never said that it "isn't very noticable". I said that it was noticable. "Isn't very noticable" is to a lesser extent of just noticable. In fact I don't think the temperature difference in LGA in NYC and MDW in Chicago in the summer is noticable, but I don't think it isn't very noticable at all. If any of that even makes any sense, lol.

When I was growing up the expression "talking about the weather"was the equivalent of "talking about nothing" because there's not much you can do about it. Unless you're some liberal with a fevered brain.

I see nyc being in the 40s, but I feel like someone has the *NYC is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay different from DC in climate* fever.
Maybe out in Virgina but I can't see that happening right in Washington on a consistent year by year basis.

Anywhere on the east coast north of about Richmond Va will have really harsh winters. That's just how North America is

An average high of 47 F in the coldest month is "harsh" I mean come on. We're really stretching the definition of harsh. Can it get stretches of harsh weather? Sure, but it can also have days in the 60s and even 70s sometimes in January.
