Yeah well Maths is different because there is a right answer all the time, and also UEA is full of Asian nerds on the maths and science courses from my experience
Otherwise 90 is very rare for a module mark in any subject,
70% is very good - first class honours over here. Pretty hard to reach that level.. for humanities subjects that involve writing essays it's almost impossible to get above 85% so 70 is pretty good going
In most of my modules we had the grades go up online so you could see what everyone got.. out of 150 students only 7 or so got above 80, and a further 30 or so above 70 in one module I remember, so just over 1/5 got a 1st
Yeah, UK grading is way different from US grading. Here a 75% is a C (Average). While there a 75% on A level exams and the such is outstanding.
