I'm hoping to go up to the mountains for hiking and foliage photos that weekend. Looks like the front will have passed and it'll be dry. Here's a good article on current conditions:

last two seasons were kinda disappointing, perhaps due to dryness and/or freeze during peak foliage they predicted late August best foliage season in years

nice summary of our weather this year

I'll check the links out later. Thanks. Yeah, good timing. Front clears (unless it slows down a lot) and crisp air behind it. I'll be heading to Western NY so we'll both have some colorful pics to post from that weekend.

8:30am-12:30pm temp and Satellite loop.

Oh so close, yet oh so far. Seeing some reports from Eastern MA of trees & powerlines down in some spots. They are getting higher gusts. Temps in the 60s.

More constant wind today than yesterday as Jose is closer but like 300+ miles off the coast.

76° here as of noon. Looks to be heading towards a high of 81, which is 9 above average. At least its dryer hear versus humid heat.

I enjoyed the extreme heat in İzmit today. 40.1°C (as far as I could catch)

I feel like posting in Summer thread instead of Autumn because I don't see any autumn weather here.

Love days like this. No rain, constant wind (from the north/northeast today).. Gusting to 25mph all day. Temps in the 70s. Mostly cloudy

Check it out...... I got a measly 0.10" from Jose, here's Top rainfall reports from MA yesterday and last night. Nice to see some areas getting 1-2" at least from it. More falling after these reports so some areas may exceed 2"

And here's Top for NY (Long Island)
