There's some cloud cover on the SC coast between Charleston and Georgetown. NWS is saying it's too dry for any precip tonight. Will be interesting if some flurries manage to fall in the Francis Marion National Forest.

Got down to 30F this morning. Not as cold as I was hoping for. It seems like when the soil is moist, often it doesn't get as cold as predicted. Forecast to get down to 32F tonight.

Some chance of light snow or wintry mix down to NW Louisiana tonight/tomorrow morning!

37f so no big hairy deal. Would have been colder if there was no wind. Jan 1984 and 85 were much colder.

7am January 22, 2020.

Well below normal from Southern New England down to Gulf states including Florida where it's in the 20s and 30s even at the coast. 40s on East side.

Upper Low off the coast and a surface HP in control over the Southeast. Clear night.

16° here with a 2" snowpack barely melting past 3 days

Hartford made a new low this winter this morning. 6°. Nothing "cold" yet. In fact Bridgeport 15F low is the 2nd warmest on record.

Look at the temp departure from normal this morning. PM me if your seeing this in the future and want to see what it was like. 10-22 below normal in the south.
