Assuming now that GFS is the opposite with no snow at all?
I could be down for the Euro forecast quite frankly!

lol. Depends where. GFS as usually having its "mid range crisis". It had a bomb for 7 updates in a row 7-9 days away, then we get 4-6 days away and it loses it. That's why I call it the "mid range crisis". Very odd it loses its touch within this time.

But it did come around today so it's starting..

I'll only be starting a thread in the CT Forum to cover it locally since it's not covering a large enough region for this forum.

Euro has 30+mph wind gusts for 36hrs here with heavy snow. Doubt that but we've had memorable storms in the past...why not. We'll see

If the models are still dropping these kind of bombs 48 hours out it's probably worthy of a thread no?

Can confirm. Floridians are panicking. They only have two days worth of cold weather clothes.

The cold in Florida is not the most uniform. Central-South Florida has Wikipedia's mean minimums in the forecast, but North Florida is comparatively milder.
EG: While Miami, listed as Zone 11A with a mean minimum of 6 Celsius, is forecast to get an 11A low on Saturday of 6 Celsius, Tallahassee won't. It is listed as Zone 8B with a mean minimum of -7.9 Celsius, but gets a Zone 9A low of -5 Celsius.

Still can't compare to the 1980's winters with highs in the 30's and 40's. What we had today was something we used to see much more of 34+ years ago.
