I'd rather have that over tropical any day..
If I could have snow and tropical temperatures at the same time, I'd like it too.

Snow's all well and good, but it has to be cold to snow (really?) and I don't like feeling cold.

Lol fair enough, I know a few other people who hate cold but love deep snow.

How are temperate landscapes monotonous? If anything tropical landscapes are monotonous they don't ever change year-around, at least temperate landscapes go through seasonal changes. But, to each their own I guess..

To me what makes snow so special is that their needs to be so many factors played in to make it happen, if snow could happen with tropical temperatures, imo, it wouldn't be anything special really. I think people who live in northern climates take snow for granted. I think snow is a gift from nature.

To me it's easier to warm up than it is to cool off. I like heat, to an extent, but I also love the change of seasons. The oppressive heat and humidity of the summer makes me look forward to the cold and snow of winter, and vice versa. I don't think I would want it to be all one way or all another. The ideal state to me would have a nice sub tropical climate where some palm trees grew, and some high mountain peaks which had sub-alpine climates. Fortunately I live in Virginia where we have both of these extremes (and most of the in betweens) all in one state.

Prefer cool weather over anything else
I do not mind a warm day say in late fall or early spring
but comfort is clearly on the cool side

I really dont like bitter cold weather
To me a great feel is after an area goes thru a very very cold snap then it warms up to the mid 30's its just refreshing so much better than the sizzling humid hot summer yuk!

I use to not be able to stand hot weather. Then I dropped 130 pounds. Now, I can't stand cold weather.

Beneath 20C I need a jacket, beaneath 12C I'm uncomfortable and my face hurts, beneath 2C and I stay inside.

Weather-wise, I'm very happy to be in Cairo.

Probably helps that we're used to paying for indoor heating 8-10 months a year.
The idea of not needing heating or even needing cooling for more than a few weeks is a novelty for us.

CairoCanadian?
What a cool name. Almost looks like mine.
I like the climate stats for Cairo too.

Going on your location, it looks like we both escaped to warmer climes.
