Do you know if there is a list of codings? I would like to find out what my local weather stations extreme min is.
Magilligan is code 16161, it may not be on there though...

Actually that code was from the old Magilligan station that closed in 1986. I don't have the code for the newer station (Magilligan No.2)...

Eglinton is code 18946

Same with Southampton too. Frost hollows are misleading!

No, no heat here, just the usual subarctic bullshit 18-21C and 10C nights in early summer with nothing but stratus layer cloud and no storms which has typified this record cold, record cloudy and record boring record stormless horses ass of a year
You don't know what's sticking to you I had 9c maxes in june and august.

Yes Southampton's figures are from Southampton airport, which is actually in Eastleigh some miles away from the city in the outer suburbs...

There are a couple of weather stations in Southampton itself (Southampton Weather Centre & Southampton Oceanography Centre) but the Met Office don't like using those ones for data made available on most websites

An example of the difference in temperatures, last night Southampton airport dropped to -2C & the Oceanography Centre dropped to just 3C!

Well Eglinton is on Tutiempo.net so you could find the lowest temperatures each year (which are listed per year so wouldn't take that long to get a good few years worth) & work out the average yourself...

Ok. I'll try that tonight. But I'd say I'll be a few degrees lower.
