My husband is from West Virginia and I am from Northern Virginia, but every time my dad got a chance we were swimming in a West Virginia River. Fell in love with it as a kid. Met this West Virginia fellow here in Tennessee and fell in love again.
We pretty much have a good thing here, home is paid for(a big plus in this economy) and not alot of payment going out. But gosh! There's one thing missing. We're not in West Virginia. Yeah, some people may think we're crazy, but we love the snow, mountains, and windy roads. We bleed blue and gold.(GO EERS!)
As soon as I can find a RAD Tech job up there, we're out of here!
Let people think it's not the place to be, leaves more space for the ones of us that love the place.

It depends on what people are looking for. There's plenty of people who think of West Virginia and think of a Southern state with a lot of rednecks and mostly rural areas. A lot of people prefer a state like California or New York City that has diversity, a lot of things to do and big cities. I'm not saying West Virginia doesn't have any of that, but most people prefer more popular states.

W, Virginia is a beautiful state. I love the Mountains, pines, and woodland. Comparing any part of W.VA. to Ca. or NY . would be an insult to WV.

People who live in WV do NOT want a state like Cal or NY.
I get shivers up my spine just thinking about living there.
