Have to go where the jobs are. There are areas where they can't get any workers to fill jobs. Go there and get a job.
I have to move 2500 miles to get a better job.

This reminds me of when I got back from deployment. I had to move around the world to get the experience I needed to land the type of job I wanted.
This is the important point to be made. You need to make yourself attractive to employers. Those with potential will get hired, but only after you invest in yourself.
Those without potential will not get hired whether or not they have invested in themselves. Even if you have the experience, but no potential, you won't be a good candidate and will get rejection letters.
Be the person with potential and you'll be fine.
I can't be. I'm not an overachiever. I don't have much to flaunt. I've done just enough to get by up until this point.
What exactly do you bring to the table. Let's say I'm a business owner ... how would you help make my business better?
Nothing. I'm a high school graduate, and so is 95% of everyone else in America. My grades weren't special at all. As a matter of fact, I think I ended up graduating with a GPA just under a 3.0. That isn't even resume-worthy.
There is a glut of workers. Employers can be very choosy about who they select. You can have all of the required qualifications, jump through all the prospective employer's hoops, and properly market yourself, and still not get hired. The best that you can do is try to get a job, any kind of job. It's tough when the competition for all jobs is fierce. It is not your fault, it is just the current market conditions.
Yeah. It's rare to hear a call back from a retailer nowadays.
What are your plans to make something change when you are in your 30s? Sounds like you aren't going to bother to do anything to better your situation so things will only get worse.
Unless of course you have a plan to get get some education or training in a field that you could find a job in, in which case, you could start doing that right not and not mooch off your parents for another decade first.
That's me ranting and just being depressed. I guess I could be out by then if I learned a trade of something. College would take a long while for me because I have to pay out of pocket.
I've looked at your other posts and you seem to be depressed about a number of issues. Depression is real, it's sometimes caused by a chemical imbalance. If you are still on your parents health insurance, or if you qualify for medicaid why not go to the doctor, he can rule out any physical conditions that might be causing this and he might be able to treat, or refer you to someone who can help with your depression.
If that's not something you are comfortable doing, look for some meetup groups with people who have similar interests, whether its riding bikes or reading books you can usually find something that would interest you, it's a great way to make friends and make contacts who can help you with your job search.
Most of all, I'm very sorry you are so sad, I wish I could hug you and make all your hurt go away
I'm not chronically depressed, but I do suffer from social anxiety. It sucks.
I'm a 22 y.o. with very little work experience and no credentials or accolades. At this rate, I'll still be at home well into my 30s.
Temp agencies want warm bodies. Sure, you're not going to get high pay, but this lets you see what jobs are out there and if you stick with a company, they may hire then it's up to you how far you want to go.
