alot of people seem to watch alot of our movies, shows and listen to our music. and there is nothing wrong with that.
This is equally true for plenty of other countries for the music, and movies being popular from those countries: France, UK, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Spain, Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, China, India, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan. At least 20 countries total, and probably at least 30 more countries part of the picture.
All of those countries have plenty of music, movies, etc. being successful and popular from those countries while not having relations to USA.
There is even a noticeable and maybe relatively large percentage of Americans following music, movies, and other forms of culture from all of those countries, including me.
Wow, you really think its only the USA where popular movies, and music come from? Obviously not when people really get to know the world very well. Have you said you never visited any country yet outside of USA? If you visited more countries, and lived in more countries, you would then change your view related to these similar topics.
You probably agreed with everything I said in my post, with the exception of the brief last sentence. People have to choose what is good for the world, and know this is very important too.
Because no one wants to see some garbage that makes them think about the real world, it's about escapism, when you are being told a story you want to revert to a mindset where there is always a happy ending and the good guy wins.
I'm not denying that. What I was talking about was a lack of genuine creativity. Surely there must be a way to do that in a more original way no?

^This. I can say with music there is so much out there that is HUGE! American music stars are big but when you start looking at others from elsewhere, you realize their popularity is absolutely massive!
I should have said these words of wisdom for world reality earlier in this topic instead of another topic:
Why don’t you realize yet plenty of people are not America obsessed and some don’t even care? When people get busy in life, or having excitement wherever they are in the world, the status of a particular country doesn’t matter in this context.
I honestly can't believe this recent topic: “Why does America have all the fame, celebrities, billionaires, and movies” is even existing in the World forum. The title itself is very false, delusional, misleading to world reality, and even offensive to countries all over the world.
There is plenty of countries all over the world, at least 50 countries total in Europe, Asia, South America, Oceania having their own successful people, fame in their own native or adopted new country, economically wealthy people, millionaires, billionaires, celebrities, music, movies, and other good characteristics in society.
Maybe I have to tell you the list of 25 to 50+ countries having a large percentage of people having a good life, being well in society there, and showing there is plenty of culturally wealthy, economically wealthy, and developed countries all over the world having their own unique culture not being directly related to your view of provincial USA.
Then again, the title of the topic is actually noticeably different from what is being said in the actual post and you said the title is a joke and not exactly the same for what is being said in a post. I actually understand some of what you are saying, even if I completely don't agree for the most part.
However, I believe people from most countries should start ignoring and resisting the negative forms of American influence. For one example, most of the tacky, generic, boring chain stores should disappear in most countries. People should know the importance of supporting more local independent stores/businesses and to stop going to most chain stores from USA. There is also a few other negative, corrupted characteristics to avoid, ignore, and not follow from USA.
At the same time, there is obviously positive, good features of American culture, so people have to know the positive/good parts of culture vs. the negative/bad parts of culture, and choose what to follow regarding this part of life.
People have to enjoy and support at the same time the regional national culture of the country they live in.
For the millionth time ughh...it was a joke. I got tired of seeing all the negative American threads so I made a positive one, I wouldn't say we have all of it but we have most of it in the developed world.
Keep up we have already been through this, the list of the most popular musicians are dominated by American artist.

I don't care, i'm talking about people outside the United States watching our movies, tv shows and listening to our music.

So we have to compare USA to "the rest of the world" for it to even be a competition?
you all keep making me more and more proud to be an American.

Yes, this is good to see plenty of people agreeing with me, including the smart Americans that are not being overly provincial, overly narrow minded, or ignorant. There is plenty of Americans similar to us with having a global mindset. I agree with you too.

Well, this topic wasn’t deleted or closed, so the people you are referring to just needed a response for knowing how wrong they are, and they have to see the words of wisdom for world reality.
Don’t worry, there is plenty of Americans similar to me knowing the world very well, liking plenty of countries and places all over the world without ever being overly provincial, narrow minded, or ignorant.
However, there is some Americans that show those negative characteristics, unfortunately. They are able to be ignored easily, and are usually Americans not having the opportunity to travel and live internationally.
