I just updated my travel map in my Facebook page, and everyone looking at my page now sees the message "Joe just updated their travel map." By latest estimate, this has been repeated 500,000,000,000 times on everybody's Facebook page.

When I mute my kitchen TV, it automatically displays closed captions.
As I glanced at it a few minutes ago, it was displaying text that said, "...woman was scene stealing wallets in several stores".
Unless this was a theatrical story, I believe that the word, "scene", should instead have been typed as, "seen".
Apparently, full literacy is not a job requirement for those who type the text for these closed captions.
LOL, you're right. My weakness is "stationary" and "stationery". The only way I can remember them is the associate the "e" in stationery as standing for "envelope"
My fifth or sixth grade teacher showed a film strip about common spelling errors; to remember cemetery, we were to picture a graveyard with tombstones each carved with one E.

Isn't closed captioning done by voice recognition software? That could explain quite a few errors.
