Facility is adequately cold holding sliced tomatoes, raw shell eggs, liquid eggs and adequately hot holding grilled chicken. Facility had fire in fryer on 8/3/15. Fire was contained and extinguished. Facility is no longer using fryer and is to be replaced. No contamination to food observed. |

The following violations have been corrected from previous inspection- Item 15A- Tiles repaired on floor in rear storage area, tiles replaced in rear storage area and pick-up drive thru area, cove molding replaced at pick-up drive thru area, window ledge fixed at both drive thru windows, and self serve area has been cleaned. 15B- Replaced plastic shield over light fixture near 3-bay sink. 10B- Replaced door gaskets on high freezer door. 10A- Plastic inserts in hot holding unit have been replaced. 12D- Facility given hand wash signs to replace worn current faded signs for men's toilet room. |

My family and I were at Southport McDonald's Monday around 4:40 pm and ordered rather large order in the order I got two chicken sandwiches for myself my children and husband with fries and a drink and my youngest got a happy meal ...I was eating my sandwich and fries as we rode home everyone was eating when I got my second sandwich I happen to notice something moving upon disbelief I seen something looked like it was moving in my sandwich so I didn't bite again I opened the buns and there was a long worm wiggling thing inside with viens inside my chicken I jump because it shocked me my sandwich fell on the floor my dog devowered it faster than I could think I was throwing up all over truck the dog I couldn't stop I continued to be sick for past 3 full days I'm not sure if it was the thing knowing it was there that made me sick or the sandwich before I don't know how that thing loved threw the fryer nor how it got in that chicken or what it was but I never in my life ever seen or expected that kind of thing and it was inside the chicken my kids and my friend driving seen it I wished my dog hadn't gotten it I am sorry I couldn't retrieve it before heswallowed it down because I'd like to show you what this wormy thing looked like and ask how in god's name was it in food just prepared please contact me as soon as possible because I believe it's hazardous to concume.... My husband and I just stopped in the Southport Elmira location McDonald's for breakfast. It is Saturday the 28th of October it is 9:45 a.m. We walked in and the girl behind the counter obviously had not been trained we asked for the big breakfast and to substitute the the muffin instead of the biscuit She made a mistake and had to call the manager over the manager. The manager ignored her for approx. 3 minutes until she finally came over. The manager seemed confused and we told her what we wanted and she fixed it then I told the girl behind the counter I wanted the bacon egg and cheese biscuit meal with a large coffee . She then put in the bagel meal then she had to call another manager who waited a probably 7 minutes before she came over in the meantime two people have been waited on beside us. At this point she came to fix it we told her what she wanted and again she was asking to clarify what we wanted. we finally said forget it and we left it was utterly ridiculous the employees need to be trained other managers need to put the customers first you can contact me at 607 742 3343 my name is cindyackerman
