Downward Pressure On Mortgage Rates

Last week ended on a sour note with mortgage rates. The fixed income sector came under selling pressure resulting in all the gains following the FOMC statement to be erased. Most lenders did reprice for the worse as the losses held through close. Despite the losses on Friday, the week ended with MBS closing where they began on Monday. At the open this morning, the downward pressure continues with fixed income yields moving higher which results in higher consumer borrowing costs.

The times are sweet.

Busy this time of year. Busy but still remembering my past. Change in the tree ornaments but remember the precious handmade ones of the past. They are now too fragile to display but are in their own special box. The tiny hands that made them are now twice as large as mine. The sloppy kisses are a sweet time of life in the past replaced with awkward hugs. Change is my constant companion, standing next to me pointing forward.
