Since this will be my first venture into the mysterious world of blogging, let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings "Case's Column". I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so...

Today I watched as a couple argued in the street, abusive language and assult for more than 20 minutes, as one kept trying to walk away as the other kept following, swearing insulting remarks and hitting, then punching....

I watched, as with the police (via their street cam less that 20 feet away) I wondered how many cases of "reverse abuse" are ever looked upon as serious.

Of the couple I witnessed, "she" was verbally abusive as well as physical....

Well, it's that time of year again. My town has been invaded ... by bikers. It's the annual Thunder in the Valley motorcycle rally. This is the 11th year for the event. They're expecting over 200,000 in attendance during the four-day event. We're becoming one of the larger north-eastern US rallies and getting quite a good reputation for those in the know.

Now, I know a lot of folks have different notions of what type of people bikers are. Well, I can say for the majority of the visitors...
