For a brief time, Houston Astros fans were led to believe that Framber Valdez might be lost for the 2021 season after breaking his ring finger on a recent fielding play in a game. Amazing how press writers and other sources tend to overspeculate without looking at the actual facts.

Some good news did come out this past week. Valdez won't miss all of 2021 after all, and he won't need surgery, either. I didn't think he needed it, and I'm not even a doctor. But...

Some say, 'The River is flowing. Just step in.' But we need to say, 'Just step in, and the river will flow.'

Some are passively waiting to see what God will do, while He is waiting for us to exercise faith to see Him move with power. Mark said it well:

"And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord kept WORKING WITH THEM and confirming the message by the attesting signs and miracles that closely accompanied it" (Mark 16:20).

God...

"My Beloved spake, and said unto me, 'Rise up, My love, My fair one, and come away.'" Song of Solomon 2:10

The Lord has something far better to offer us if we will respond to His call to "rise up" with Him into a higher realm of spiritual reality. To this pressing call, He adds a word of encouragement:


"For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and...

I've only waited for this moment since.............., oh, ........... about Thanksgiving. Nonetheless, by the time I get out of the shower and head for work tomorrow morning, a new season will greet us.

Yes, sports fans, it's spring. It begins at 4:37 a.m., Case time. And, as with every year of anticipation, this spring couldn't get here soon enough.

Psalm 34:3 - "O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together."

We can magnify the Lord in our situations by focusing on Him and His victory in the midst of all else that would persuade us otherwise.

Even though we do not make God bigger in an actual sense, we do make Him "bigger" than doubt, unbelief, disease, financial lack, despair, etc in our eyes and in our heart. This is important because out of our heart the mouth speaks....
