Blue, I shoot with just a basic 18-250mm Pentax lens. I experiment a lot with the settings as I shoot, while keeping only about 1/4 of the photos I take. The one item that I can't live without is my monopod, much easier to carry around then a tripod. I also always shoot RAW and develop in Photoshop. If I see a photo somewhere that I find really interesting and want to find out what settings were used, I use a little freeware program called Opanda IExif.

Warpt, love the pics. They are all so serene. I have not seen a wild fox since we left NY back in the 50s. They are such beautiful creatures.

I am so jealous of the cool weather up there. We have been in the 100s for 2 months now with pseudo-drought conditions. I yearn for autumn and winter.

ohh thank you!! between you and Dave I might figure out how to shoot good scenery shots!! I love my monopod!! I have an old version of Photoshop so I will check out it's capabilities. Use to do basic graphics with it for a newspaper. Have been a bit afraid of shoot RAW as I am not sure how to edit or what to do with the photo and program!!
