The latest is that Sinema is now ahead by 20,000 votes with 350,000 ballots still outstanding. Anybody knows where the ballots are coming from to get an idea how they split?

I have the AZ Real ID and if you are 65 or older it's good for 5 years, everyone else it's 8 years.

We all have passports. My wife and I need them for going into Mexico. This summer the whole family flew into Toronto.

It is actually 360k across the state. I saw somewhere Pima County has 80k to count and Pinal County had like 30k to count. Pima is heavily D and Pinal is heavily R; not that it matters considering Ducey won in a landslide so really this shouldn't be as close as it is.

Watching the count day by day as the updates roll in isn't a very healthy activity. It's over just wait for the dust to settle, and hope neither side sues for a recount and wastes any more tax dollars.

Just wait, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't try to recall Sinema if she wins.

A recall in AZ only requires a petition signed by 25% of the votes cast, must also have voted for the office, to be successful. Six months from now we could do this all over again! I doubt it would actually happen but they would be stupid to not try, it isn't impossible.

You are referencing Article 8 of the Constitution of the State of Arizona. This only governs state offices. United States Senator is not a state office but a federal office.

The United States Supreme Court made clear in U.S. Term Limits, Inc. v. Thornton (1995) that no elected federal officers may be recalled for the reason that the qualifications for service laid out in the Constitution of the United States are implicitly exclusive. No state may add to them.

It is thus impossible to recall a member of Congress because there is no legal mechanism for doing so.

Anybody think it's inevitable that Sinema is going to win this, or does McSally still have a chance of pulling it off? Personally I'm throwing in the towel and saying Sinema will win the seat.

Sinema has a ~33k lead as of this moment.

Pima and Yuma are the only ones still counting.

Unless the last votes from Maricopa are completely different from the hundreds of thousands already counted, McSally is toast. She would need to take about a 12% edge in remaining ballots where she lost by about 6% on what's been counted so far. 18-20 point swing! It's not happening.
