Arizona passes strict illegal immigration act (Globe, Oracle: for sale, halls, millionaires)

The Obama administration is seeking funding for 1,000 additional Border Patrol agents, 100 more Immigration and Customs Enforcement investigators and two unmanned Predator drones to help battle Mexican drug cartels along the Southwest border, the Department of Homeland Security announced Wednesday.

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer's office has filed a motion to dismiss another lawsuit that seeks to overturn the state's new immigration law.

No I do not think it's right to profile with a few caveats. Think of it this way, if your hunting geese you don't shoot into a flock of quail right? I mean you are after geese after all right?
As I've said before, everyone and I mean EVERYONE profiles others on a daily basis as part of the survival instinct so to say it absolutely won't happen is certainly nuts as well.
Now to say that it's going to rise to a problem that involves civil rights issues is being alarmist and just tossing a red herring into this issue since you can't catagorically say that it has/WILL happen until the law is put into effect for a while not to mention the law mirrors federal law that's been on the books for quite a while without a massive uproar.
We've got to start somewhere unless y'all are for just wringing our collective hands for another few years while Rome burns?

I think you're correct and we're headed there at full throttle! If a firefight happens on one of these ranches with americans shot/killed I shudder to think of what will happen next.
If this happens and the U.S. doesn't immediately send armed/locked and loaded troops to that area to back up/replace our people then you'll know exactly where our government stands. If they do send troops and they have orders to do nothing that tells you lots as well. Neither of those things will bode well for us as a nation.

I pray nothing like this happens but it's definately heating up and I believe we're now in a fight to see if a bunch of crooks with dope and LOTS of money can invade/intimidate us.

jimj... The troops will go there quickly, but without ammo in their weapons.. However, if there's a firefight along the Arizona border and several Arizonans are killed, the FIRST thing obama will do is say to his wife .. " WHY ME !!" .. Then, after he makes a show of sending troops to save the day, ( with orders to not actually DO anything.), he'll have his advisors check the polls for the public's response.. Then his advisors will figure out what to do that will look best for HIM.. Then they'll leak a couple ideas to the press and see how they play.. Then whichever one looks best for him politically is what he will do.. And in the end, he will blame Arizona and have his justice department investigte the state to see if there's ANYTHING they can be sued for.. ABC will run an "up close and personal" piece on the mexican cartel members and how they're just trying for a better life, and blame our immigration system for not making it easier for the cartel members to legally immigrate .. illegals will march on the houses of the families of the slain Arizonans and throw rocks at them and call them pigs.. some neighbors will gather and tell the illegals they shouldn't do that.. The press will label the neighbors racist far right wingers, causing their homes to be stoned, too.. ( the press will cover it and surmise that this may be the just end for those preaching racial intolerance ) .. and finally, the families of the "murdered" drug cartel members will be on oprah, during which she will announce a music industry benefit concert for the now fatherless families.. During the show, obama will appear on a large screen and say he is issueing an executive order granting the family members of the "murdered" cartel members american citizenship.. oprah and her audience will stand and applaud and cry..

In a side story .. the body of one of the slain Arizonans will be sent home to california for burial next to his deceased wife, but he will be refused entrance to L.A. county, who will have already passed a proclaimation condemning Arizona and the people who tried to fight off the cartel members..

License plate recognition camera's attached to these drones will help capture drug runners.

Soon these drones will be armed (along with ground troops) to let them "take out" the smugglers.

Unfortunately, Greatday . . .

Once the vehicle makes it to the freeway and then blends with other vehicles, seizing and arresting the occupants is very difficult in spite of the license plate number without some form of road block.

Only the use of the "seriously armed" Drones will have a positive impact.

I will say this again:
You can cry "racial profiling" ALL you want, you're not going to win this one based on that remark!...truth of the matter is that the Great Majority that crosses here illegally ain't from Sweden! So...Once again, this has nothing to do with "racial" anything, because there is only 1 nationality of individuals who chooses to continuously cross here in mass, ILLEGALLY, and who also don't even understand the word: "Illegal". They are desperate of getting caught, and therefore they figured that if they "cry "racial profiling" that "some " people here will fall for that and "overturn" a law that is MEANT TO PROTECT OUR DECENT CITIZENS WHO WORK AND LIVE HERE LEGALLY. Nobody here in the US gives a rat's a** if someone immigrates here, what we care about it that YOU COME HERE LEGALLY. I don't care how, just DO IT LEGALLY!
