Carl Edwards is retiring?

Something's up..

Carl Edwards expected to retire immediately from NASCAR

Ride might have just opened up for Biffle..

NOPE, Suarez will jump right into that vacant seat!

I do think it's about a year too early for him. I think I might have put Biffle in for a year and gone from there. But, i'm sure that Arris and the sponsors had a say in it..

Now.. I presume that opens up the #19 in Xfinity, because no doubt Suarez will be running for points in Cup, and they likely want the #19 to contend for the championship in Xfinity.. So.. Still a possibility that a ride has opened up for Biffle.

You gotta believe that Bubba Wallace is kicking himself, again..

Biff is not gonna get another top tier ride in CUP (JMO).. warranted or not.
but a nice ride in xfinity might just be the spot for him. he certainly would be a favorite in Gibbs Xfinity car.. hell, anyone would be..

It is good to see Suarez get a good ride. He definitely deserves a shot in cup. Never thought it would be this ride!

I think Suarez would benefit by another year in Xfinity.. But, circumstances are what they are. He'll likely have tough times through the year, like any other rookie. But I expect he'll develop and be a fine driver.

Who will be the break through driver in 2017??

Will Jimmy Johnson win his 8th title??
Johnson winning his eighth championship would be amazing. He will not top Richard Petty in wins.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. has some health concerns. If those concerns limit Earnhardt's time and/or career behind the wheel, then it is his decision to end his career.

Petty's 200 WINs in NASCAR is akin to Cy Youngs 500 Wins in Baseball;
unreachable!

Clarification.. Petty's 200 CUP wins are unreachable.

Kyle Busch should catch the 200 NASCAR wins within the next two to four years.

He's sitting at 170 right now (38 cup, 86 Xfinity, 46 Truck)

I still look at him getting about 10 wins, combined, per year, even with the new rules that keep him out of ~30% of the truck/xfinity races at the end of the year.

Is it the same? Of course not. But, he will technically be the 'winningest driver in NASCAR history'.
