For a Bahrain race, it was actually okay, particularly the mid-pack race. I felt for LeClerc, but then I am not particularly a Ferarri fan.

I read that F1's new owners have signed up Will Smith's 'content studio' to attempt making F1 more appealing by 'leaning on the mass appeal of celebrities'. I'd be a lot more optimistic about F1's future if they tried making racing more appealing by creating better racing.

They will be having F1 festivals in Chicago and LA. I wonder why these two cities, especially Chicago?? Are they where what Liberty calls the "underlying fanbase that just needs to be activated" lives? https://racer.com/2019/04/03/chicago...ivals-in-2019/

I saw an episode of Jay Leno's Garage where they were showing celebs, Nick Cannon in an open Ferrari said something like 'I like to drive my Ferrari slow so people can see me'. If I see someone like him being paraded through the paddock I'll know my days of being an F1 fan will be on life support at best.
I almost always save the race until Sunday morning, turn it on for the first 5-10 laps and then turn the sound down, make breakfast, read the Sunday paper, start laundry ... I can always rewind.
In pre-season interviews, LeClerc was quoted as saying that he completely understood his "second driver" role - that seems to have gone by the wayside somewhere...
