And the better question is, why would you want to be?

I enjoy breaking rules. It's a rebellious attitude that I've never quite grown out of, even though I'm 47. The minute you tell me I can't do something, I want to do it. And if you punish me for something, I'll make a point to do it again.

Still, I see the need for rules and laws and I follow most of them, except for speed limits. Most speed limits are set lower than necessary, and I like to break them within reason, when conditions allow it to be done reasonably safely. I've been ticketed a handful of times, and it's had zero impact on my driving.

i dont always drive the posted limit, and 99.9999% of the people don't either... But most people will go with the flow of traffic... If the traffic is going 75 and the speed limit is 65 the cops generally won't stop a large number of cars - as long as they're all moving along safely.. I watch the local traffic reports at the news hour on tv and in the city traffic limit is only 55 on the xways but the news guys will report traffic speeds like 68, 63, ect ect... the cops know those cars are moving over the limit, but those people aren't gonna die and go to hell because they're drive 15 over... Thats stupidity.... I may be one of those cars in that 68mph group on the Shawnee (one of our xways - for example) and I think this guy is stupid as hell for thinking that people always drive the limit..... If i were doing 55 in that group of cars donig 68 my life would be in danger... and my life is worth a lot more than that to me...

In my 20s, I sped just about every time I drove. I got one speeding ticket - he knocked it down to 68 in a 55 for me (I was doing 80).

I still speed, but now I don't do it as high. I don't speed in residential areas anymore or side streets, but on highways, I keep it under 10 over.

what gets me is i see a lot of older people that speed.... they take off like lightning from their homes worse than some teenager.... Then they're the ones who complain about kids who install exhausts on their cars..... go figure...
