If OKC loses to Golden State tonight they can forget about making the playoffs. This is a home game on national TV with Durant and Westbrook in the game and it;s no reason they should lose

Looks like the Clippers will be out in the first round once the playoffs start. No West team with a winning record should lose to the Cavs at home

I was going to say that the Cavs did it without Kevin Love too, but truthfully, they're probably a better team without him.

J.R. Smith looks like every bit of Waiters on a winning team. They have eerily similar stats thus far. Getting Shumpert and half a Mozgov appears to be just an added bonus for Cleveland.

Since the trade:

Waiters: 14ppg (40%), 2.5rpg, 1.5apg, 1 tpg in 30mpg.
Smith: 13.7ppg (41%), 3.0rpg, 1.7apg, 1.5tpg in 32mpg.
Mozgov: 8.2ppg (55.2%), 7.8rpg in 25mpg.

LeBron went to the finals with Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Drew Gooden, Larry Hughes, Boobie Gibson, Sasha Pavlovic and Anderson Varejao so why shouldn't he with Love, Kyrie, Shumpert, JR, Tristan, Marion and Mike Miller?
Just saying people are underrating the Cavs again.

What are the odds that Ray Allen comes out of retirement and joins the Cavs during All-Star Weekend?

Because they strung together a couple wins by outscoring people does't mean they are heading back to the finals lol. Wow, they win a few games and ....hey where have you been the last month or so? lol.

Cleveland made the finals that year because the east was really weak.
They got beat 4-0 by the Spurs.

The next 3 years they only got to the ECF once and got beat by Orlando there.
Seriously, Orlando.

If they start playing better defense, then there is something cooking there. You don't let the Clippers (and everybody else) shoot 47%+ night in and night out and win long-term.

As it stands right now, whomever makes the NBA finals is going to get embarassed by the west.

Everybody in the east still looks to be a half step behind or more from their best.

Nice blowout over Portland last night. Anybody who says Kawhi is just a role player should see how different this team looks without him. We haven't had a full healthy lineup all year, so it's good to see some rhythm again.

West playoffs are gonna be brutal this year. I don't think I've ever seen a year where you could reasonably picture all 8 teams in the Finals. Funnily enough, I think a first round matchup against a second seeded Portland might be the best thing that could happen to SA. We seem to match up fairly well with them when healthy.

.
What do you mean seriously, Orlando
That team was not bad with Dwight, Hedo, Rashard Lewis, Pietrus, Gortat and Courtney Lee,
I remember Nelson being injured for most of the playoffs and Rafer Alston backed him up pretty good.

Well, for one thing, the scrubs on the old Cavs team didn't want the ball as much and the offense revolved around a very hungry LBJ.
The new Cavs team have some guys who seem to be out to prove something and a seemingly less motivated LBJ. Obviously they still have time to find chemistry and settle into their respective roles but it sure has been chaotic so far.
