No, not Vancouver. Canada pretty much subsidizes films. Although Vancouver isn't even the Vancouver of a few years ago due to the exchange rate.

They've all ready received a lot of applicants, but who knows, maybe you're the person they're looking for?

Over 500 applicants for 35 positions. Not very good odds, for the unemployed.
I hope the stimulus money that Idaho recieives helps improve the employment situation in Boise.

I hope so too. I bet the rest of the nation has the same hopes. Can you imagine living in other cities that have been hit much harder than Boise? Like Seattle, Portland, numerous cities in the Midwest and East.
It is a really tough time for the whole nation and hopefully we can all benefit.

I really hope those work out. Boise needs a better mix of jobs and that is a really good mix there.

I only had 20 to list, but was told there were 30. Out of the 20 I listed, 15 of them are ranked by BVEP to likely land in the Treasure Valley. We are on their short list of 3 or less and have excellent site options. So yes, this could really help our employment situation.

Oops wait a second, I do have more to list...I will edit my first post to add them.

Look at all those call centers.

In other news, didn't they cut the funding for BVEP?

Simplot family plans to transform Downtown eyesore into $100 million 'urban meeting place' | Eyepiece | Idaho Statesman (http://www.idahostatesman.com/eyepiece/story/779626.html - broken link)

Since this is pretty much already funded I think it may actually happen. It is a large project, especially for Boise. 1000 plus jobs they say.
