No, not Vancouver. Canada pretty much subsidizes films. Although Vancouver isn't even the Vancouver of a few years ago due to the exchange rate.

I hope so too. I bet the rest of the nation has the same hopes. Can you imagine living in other cities that have been hit much harder than Boise? Like Seattle, Portland, numerous cities in the Midwest and East.
It is a really tough time for the whole nation and hopefully we can all benefit.

Good news! I attended a meeting today with the Boise Valley Economic Partnership or BVEP. Currently they have 30 business in the pipeline that are considering locating their facilities in the Treasure Valley. Now, of course we're not going to land all of them, but we'll still get our fair share. Currently the names of the companies are being witheld, but I can give you the type of industry and how many jobs it will bring.
As I learn more I will post here.

I really hope those work out. Boise needs a better mix of jobs and that is a really good mix there.

I only had 20 to list, but was told there were 30. Out of the 20 I listed, 15 of them are ranked by BVEP to likely land in the Treasure Valley. We are on their short list of 3 or less and have excellent site options. So yes, this could really help our employment situation.
