What does this have to do with the toxins on the base? Instead of commenting on that, you change the subject away from the post. What do you think about he toxins at the base CK?
Actually, what did that article have to do with Niagara Falls development?
From the article: "The $2 million project, announced in late August, calls for developing a 6,000-square-foot center specializing in lung cancer on the hospital’s fourth floor in collaboration with Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. It will be named the Golisano Medical Oncology Center."

A few pertinent quotes from the article:
"The two hospitals signed a collaboration agreement last February that started with screenings and treatment for thoracic oncology in response to high rates of lung cancer in the Niagara Falls area."
"Niagara County has the 6th highest cancer incidence rate among New York state’s 62 counties. The cancer death rate there is higher than 76 percent of the state’s counties and is nearly 36 percent higher than the state average. For people with intellectual disabilities who are now living longer, cancer is one of the three main causes of death."

In which it is nice to see that a solution to the issue will be addressed. Again, looks like this project is a good thing for the area in many ways.
Wouldn't it be better if people didn't get cancer in the first place?
Sure, but given that no one is exempt from getting it, regardless of location, I rather have resources available to combat it. Having an identity based on one's location does not insulate anyone from life's issues and given the reality of risk, I look at the building of this center as a good thing for the area.

Wouldn't removing the cause of the cancer be better than treating it after? My mom passed after a long battle with cancer and it was hell.
