Mothers like me...lol like you KNOW me so well? I don't hate gay people, I don't really care if men like men or women like women, who cares everyone has their OWN SEXUAL PREFERENCE and because I don't agree with sexual preferences being taught in school does not make me scared of gay people or hate the gays like you would like to think. If my kids turned out gay I would still be against sexual preferences being taught in school..THIS does not mean that I do not have an open mind..

not everyone thinks like you, a lot of people are homophobic and with more gay awareness it's likely to reach a lot more people and become more acceptable in society that it will no longer be an issue one day.

May I ask you a question. Lets say one of your kids didn't want to learn about african american history because I'm not african american and it does not really affect me and why would they need a whole month on this topic in schools, so I voice my protest on this issue. Seriously I'm not black and don't live the black life, why can't they just be black it's not really an issue that needs to be taught.....I'm just curious what would your reaction be?

This stuff is just plain silly, sexual preferences are not taught in schools, to think they are is to be out of one's mind.

I think the poster has shown that the last seven words are not factual.

This all part of the blame the schools, everything bad in society is the fault of those darned liberal (gay) teachers and their darned liberal (gay) agenda.

Abraham Lincoln was wrong, the Union should have let the Confederacy go.

no they are not, but they are both circumstances of birth, both American minorities, both discriminated and prejudiced against in the past and today. Both black and gay people will be in yours and your children's lives because they are a part of society.

I agree... I wonder if they call John Muir day 'Environazi day'. I mean, it's the same thing, right?

Yes a holiday for someone whose claim to fame is his sexuality.
