From my perspective this is what happened, the couple got into a fight and at 2AM he wanted to leave the situation (she probably saw one of his text messages, he got mad, and he wanted to be with his new woman), the wife smashed the back of the car window because she was upset and wanted to let him know it (so she picked up his most prized golf stick), he didn't realize what was going on and tried to avoid hitting her and smashed into the hydrant and tree. They had enough time to get their stories together, and then she called the police. This is soooooooooo a domestic dispute. Wonder how long before the divorce proceedings get initiated?

I just can't believe he crashed his car driving out of his driveway enough to send him to hospital. How do you hit both a tree and a fire hydrant while pulling out of your home!
If you are distracted it's easy to jump the curb into a fire hydrant and then into a tree.

Who has made previous claims of having affairs with various celebrities that have been proven untrue. I wouldn't jumpt to conclusions just yet.
The story has taken a new twist with TMZ reporting the couple had a heated argument where, according to a source, she scratched his face up.
The site said Woods beat a hasty retreat but his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away from their luxury Florida home, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.
