Am I right? Talk about no individuality and no character in that area.

This could be the Big Box Store capital of the US.

I believe every major box store has a store front in every part of Charlotte. Wait, I can also say that every major box store has a store front in every part of [insert any city here].

Whew glad we cleared that up!

They're just easier to see in B'tyne since it's so flat and treeless.

YA, RLY.

If "not having character" means that things aren't run down, I guess I don't like character.

What is the objective of post?

I smell a troll and sour grape story here!!!

I am not sure what is "Big Box Store" feel is. For you it could be 3rd world country or worst place in America or worst place in the Galaxy! etc etc

But it is funny though.. Your other posts seem to trash almost all the places in Charlotte, Atlanta!!

"I did not find downtown Atlanta to be very exciting."
Just had a long weekend in Atlanta

As you can see Charlotte a generic city.
CHARLOTTE , described in one word.

If this is so, we need to get them out of office, NJ is a very poorly run state.

Someone from NEW JERSEY running this state?

So I am not surprised your views are extreme.

Don't go to Ballantyne if you dont like it.. Stay in Mint Hill since it's not a big box city or village!

For some of us, South Charlotte and the Ballantyne area are the best parts of Charlotte, if what you are interested in is convenience, upscale, clean and safe.

I know where to go to find quirky and artsy . . . and I know where to go to find colloquial and down home Southern. I choose to LIVE in a convenient area as that fits my lifestyle.

There are parts of Charlotte for everyone. Doesn't mean everyone is going to want to live in every area of Charlotte. It's a big city and there are nice bedroom communities outside the city limits, as well.

So if Big Box stores are not your thing . . . you won't have a problem finding a spot to land . . . it just won't be the Ballantyne area.

To each his own.

I recently moved here from the bay area, and I've been tempted to honk my horn virtually every day here, whereas I almost never felt the urge out there. In fact, I honked at someone this morning on the way to work. Granted, it was on Harris Blvd and not in a residential area, but sometimes drivers just drive us nuts
