Supposedly, the refs they had lined up had another game. We couldn't get refs from down here because no one wanted to make the 2 hr, 1-way drive. Then we offered to have coaches act as refs & the host team said no. Lacrosse is still club teams in NC. The State only recently recognized it as a sport & hopefully it will start showing up in the public schools by next year.
I understand now.
Lacrosse hasnt been recognized as a sport here in Indiana. To tell you truth I honestly dont think it ever will be

I generally don't posts of a personal note but this morning is going to be a little special for me (and a tough one). I am going to tell my wheelchair bound Mom that my brother and I will be moving her this month to Hilton Head SC (Brookdale Living an assisted care home less than 5 minutes from my brother). Not an easy thing to tell her after 92 years in NYC.
Well I guess even at 92 she too can enjoy southern living.

Hope that it goes well with your mom, John. I hope that you brought her some photos to show her how lovely HHI is and how the weather is a lot warmer. Maybe that will make it easier...

John - just wanted you to know I am thinking about you and your family. I bet your mom will love living at Brookdale. But that is a big psychological change and can imagine you are hoping it will all go well with both the move and her happiness in Hilton Head. I hope I live t o 92 and my sons make sure I am near them, no matter where that might be.
