Do you all have your dogs microchipped? I have never microchipped Miss Scarlett but I think I am going to in the next few days. Anyone suspected tumors were caused by microchipping? I have had several friends who swear their dogs got cancer b/c of microchips. But I have heard this is just a rumor. Any opinions?

This is the first dog we had microchipped, had it done when he was 6 months old at the same time he was fixed. I've never heard anything negative about it.
Our rescued beagle had a chip in him when we adopted him.
However, I do know that the AC&C shelter staff shelter are huge advocates of microchipping - all dogs that come through the shelter and are placed up for adoption are microchipped. Provided the owners make sure to keep their address and contact info updated, if your pet is picked up by AC&C they can be scanned and returned to you almost immediately.
I've not read anything about microchips causing cancer in pets, but if I come across anything reputable I will post a link.
