That's nice to know, thank you! Some of the best days of my life were on trips to Chicago to go to the Art Institute. I consider it better than the Met in NYC. It's got so many of the best Impressionist paintings, and especially the wonderful Renoir works.

I remember the summer of 2005, when we were experiencing similar temps, and we were house hunting.

"And it has central air..."

"We'll take it!!"

Okay, maybe not quite, but the central air was a strong selling point when it was 100 degrees out.

We were sitting outside at a party yesterday and quite a few of us were complaining about it being cold. I looked on my phone to see what the tempurature was and it said 77. I would have put on a sweater if I had thought to bring one.

I'm from Saudi Arabia, the weather after one month is gonna be 125.6 f in Jeddah city in the west coast.
it's impossible to have a single room without A/C. if electricity is down(which usualy happen) families go to cars to have some cool air.

KSA is a big country
the most extreme winter weather usualy is 30 f (in north area). in Jeddah (west) it is 60 and lasts only for few days.

but believe it or not, in south of KSA(mountains), in the summer the maximum heat is 75 which is normal for you, but for us it's source of pleasure,

i live in albany park, i'm so sad i'm gonna leave Chicago even if i had a very bad situations.
this is a gift for you guys.

With all due respect Jeddah has to be one of the suckiest permanently inhabited places on Earth in which to live. Not only is it hotter than a kiln there but contrary to the stereotypical image of Saudi Arabia as a dry desert Jeddah is unbelievably humid. It's like combining the heat of Las Vegas with the humidity of Miami. No thanks! I think it was Jeddah (or some place close by) that recorded the highest-ever "heat index" of 174 degrees
