Your point of posting Paul's scripture is that good works are meaningless just so "no one can boast?" How does that prove that what Christ said about good works is null and void?

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

Also...faith is fine...but show me where Christ himself talks about being saved by grace. Because Paul mentions "grace" over a hundred times I think...but Christ never spoke of it...even after his ressurection.

I never said that at all. I do not believe it's my place to say what I am doing, unless it's what the grace of god is doing in me.

Jesus Christ is the Grace of God, if you look upon Jesus Christ( not a Jewish with a beard, but the life that was I him), you are beholding the grace of God.

Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ John 1:17.

Are you aware of this parable I am referring to here (recopied once again):

Once again I ask: "
I'm just wondering, when Christ spoke the parable about the seeds and the types of soil...was Paul's case mentioned...where someone initially rejects the Word, and then after God proves it to them that it's real...then they accept it? I don't think he did. He seems to omit that one. I'm sure there's a convoluted explanation for that though."

ITS THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER AND THE SEED FROM MATTHEW 13:19-23

The Gospel writers, once again, are trying to tell us something here. This was written down after Paul's books were written. You are aware of that, yes?

Which one would Paul be out of these...because these are all the cases that Christ told us exist:

"When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

20But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
21Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
22He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. 23But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty."

Where is Paul's case listed...other than the first one. Where did the Gospel writers try to validate Paul and his then existing works, by saying that some REJECT THE WORD INITIALLY, AND THEN LATER RECEIVE IT AND UNDERSTAND IT WHEN GOD PROVES THAT HIS SPIRIT EXISTS? I believe it's not there.

I agree with you on that. It is the spirit of God working in us. But agreeing with that is different than saying that works don't count toward our "treasure in heaven." Christ said by loving our enemies and by doing good works without speaking about it..we will have a "treasure in heaven." So let's just not forget that, and keep Paul's words within the context of what Christ taught. Do not let Paul ever nullify Christ's teachings is also my point.

Jesus is also the glory of God, the power of God, the Son of God, and the Wisdom of God. Grace is fine...but to put an overemphasis on that being our salvation and ignoring what Christ actually taught us to do is dangerous. That's why there are a lot of Christians who do nothing at all and like to pretend they are in good shape, when they are not even following Christ. You must follow him...not just say you acknowledge him. The latter is easy...the former takes more dedication.

"Pick up your cross and follow me" is not the same as "you are simply saved by grace"

To be quite frank with you,I haven't got a clue what you are on about, If you are trying to say Paul's epistles are to be rejected, take your argument elsewhere.

No that is not what I teach. You said faith alone is USELESS, yet the bible says that faith saves. Your futile attempts to prove the thief performed works, when he obviously did not, proves your position is indefensible. Some people give their lives to the lord on their death beds, and to claim they are not saved because they didn't have a chance to perform works is wrong.

This is how your works will be rewarded. Note the part where it says you are saved with or without works verse 15. This passage is about believers aka people who have faith.

By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.

Of course do don't have a clue about it...because you refuse to see all of it. And this is what is scary...that people love Paul and follow not Christ.

Don't worry bro..i don't want to offend you, so I will take my argument to an Advanced Theology forum where people will be interested in commenting on it.

I don't know...did you? You could always agree with me if and when you think that what I said is in alignment with what you also believe.

But being intentionally difficult is what you prefer I suppose.

Lol, the only thing that really matters to me is this "love your neighbor as yourself"..... Something Jesus Christ taught.

You need to get down from you high horse O Advanced One.
