Would this be love?

A mother sees her child heading out into the busy street, and calls to the child to come but, but the child, in his free will chooses to run out into the busy street anyway. The mother dashes out and grabs the child out of the busy street and takes him to safety. The mother explains to the child the dangers of running out into the busy street, teaching the child the danger associated with his actions and the child learns what could have happened if he had stayed in the street. The next time he does not run out into the street because now he knows better.

Was love expressed by the mother who grabbed the child and taught the child, seeking to change the child's will? We seek to change our children's wills as we teach them each day if we are good parents and want the best for our children. Is this wrong? Is it wrong for God to seek to change our wills and even to influence our wills so that they are in conformity to His will? Is it wrong for Him to be successful in this?

God bless.

God knew who would come to believe in him and who wouldn't by virtue of his omniscience. He didn't create the "pit" so that many will fall into it...... the "pit" was created for those who fall and reject the truth, starting with the Devil and his demons, then those who follow him (as Jesus calls unbelievers - "children of the devil" )

It still seems to be a contradiction if your belief is that God would desire all to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth when He already knew that they would never come to Him when He created all things. It is like someone saying, I don't want you to fall into this pit that I made for someone but I already know that you will fall into it as I build this pit. God is love.
God bless.

Amazing isn't.... there is actually a God who knows the beginning and end of all things with everything in the middle.

I guess it's up to you to say .. "well God, I just have to trust ya on this one" as God revealed: (notice the small "g" in god and the capital "G" of the true God... who is Jesus btw)
2 Corinthians 4:4
The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Does God draw them to give them the opportunity to choose Him, knowing in advance that they will never choose Him? Wouldn't that still be a contradiction? Do they really have an opportunity to come to Him? God bless.

Amen. God knew that the god of this age would blind them. God bless.

Unlike little babies, we can resist the mothers saving hands, much like the Jews resisted Jesus' attempts to draw them to Himself.

Jesus desired to save them, but they refused.

Matt 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you that kill the prophets, and stone them which are sent unto you, how often would I have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, and you would not!

Hi, do you believe that the creature can utimately resist the Creator's hands forever? What does that say of the Creator's power? Is man's resistance or will greater than the Creator's power? (Romans 9) The same Jesus that the Jews rejected (according to the plan of God) will one day subject all to Himself. (1 Corinthians 15, Hebrews 2)

Isaiah 45
22 “Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth;
For I am God, and there is no other.
23 “I have sworn by Myself,
The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness
And will not turn back,
That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance.
24 “They will say of Me, ‘Only in the LORD are righteousness and strength.’
Men will come to Him,
And all who were angry at Him will be put to shame.
25 “In the LORD all the offspring of Israel
Will be justified and will glory.”

God bless.
