this is not for none believers ..... (smile).
When did the Comforter appear the First time? this is for thoses who have eyes and ears to see and hear....... (smile).
the Conforter, Jesus, his first "APPERANCE" in the world.
Scripture, Luke 2:25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.
Luke 2:26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
the term "consolation" is the key to our understanding, it is the Greek word,
G3874 παράκλησις paraklesis (pa-ra'-klee-sis) n.
1. an imploration, entreaty (urgent request (for mercy or help)).
2. an exhortation (urgent counsel, encouragement, or caution).
3. a comfort, solace.
[from G3870]
KJV: comfort, consolation, exhortation, intreaty
Root(s): G3870
definition #2 & 3. counsel, and a comfort.
a Counsel, in the legal arena is better now as an "advocate". and one who gives counsel is called a Counsellor like in Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace".
and one who gives "Comfort" is called a "COMFORTER", or is know as an intercessor. like in,
1John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
and the term advocate is the Greek word,
G3875 παράκλητος parakletos (pa-ra'-klee-tos) n.
1. (properly) one called near (to give help).
2. an intercessor (one who entreats of behalf of another).
3. a comforter.
[(not given)]
KJV: advocate, comforter
Notice definition #2 & 3. my God this is too easy....
God, the Holy Spitiy, is JESUS our intercessor, Comforter, and advocate. it can't get any plainer.
One night want to re-read this for clarity
