If its the same God then why the need for a new covenant?

Example:

Old bigthirsty was mean spirited and argued with everyone.
New bigthirsty is all about the love..

Someone might say "I like this new bigthirsty"...

Its the same person.. yet different.

Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us. It is no longer an external set of rules and principles. The Holy Spirit reminds us of Christ's words, activates our conscience, influences our motives and desires.

I don't see a difference at all. I see a clear difference on how things are done...the veil is ripped now. God didn't change.

Fair enough. I totally see a different God. I see one in the OT that did this..

Job 1:6-12

Do you think maybe He still does that?

He is still the same. He still loves us all, wants us all to love Him. He still doesn't have a desire for us all to perish but wants us all to live in Him.

Keep talking to me, though...I really want to know. lol

Almighty God did'nt do anything evil here. He simply allowed it. Satan was the one totally responsible for the actions taken. God had confidence in Job, as far as Satan's wicked accusation and challenge went. God personally does not diliberately, throw incidents of temptation to cause any of mankind to stumble, as I take it you believe he did here with Job. If that were indeed true, then this scripture in James would be a flat out lie.
James 1:13

This type of gathering of heavenly spirits or Angels with Satan present and pointing an accusing finger, so to speak in God's face, no longer takes place in heaven , since Satan and the Demons (fallen angels) no longer have access to the heavens.

Jesus came to fulfill or to make perfect or build upon what was already foundationally established. I do agree that by His witness to the truth, God's plan is made clearer (corrected) but still not completely revealed.

Joh 18:37 (b)
For this reason I was born, and for this reason I came into the world – to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice.”

This sounds like what my kids said back in the day.... now that they have grown up and see me differently.... but I haven't changed.

Sorry not doing it and willfully allowing it to happen are the same thing.

For instance:

My friends decide to rob a bank. I know all the details and I decide not to go with them. However I don't call the police. I'm still guilty.
