If a person wants to become a citizen of another country, he must agree to abide by the law of the land.
If a person wants to become a citizen of God's spiritual nation - 1st Peter 2 vs 9,5 - he would have to agree to abide by the spiritual laws as set forth in Scripture.
The choice would be to put divine rulership ahead of one's own desires.- Matthew 10 vs 38,39
It has nothing to do with attraction but with self control.
Fornication [ porneia' ] is the sin. The English word fornication comes from the Greek word 'Porneia' . Porneia covers all forms of un-scriptural sex including having sex with an animal.
According to Scripture everything in this imperfect system is temporary.
What Christians look forward to is a perfect system which is the coming 1000-year reign of Christ over earth.
During that time Jesus will undo all the damage that Satan and father Adam brought upon us.
The miracles Jesus performed while on earth was a small-scale sample of the healing and curing Jesus will do on a LARGE or GRAND scale during his messianic reign over earth.- please see: Revelation 22 v 2
We do not know all the causes for all sexual preferences today.
I recall hearing a report about male fish having no interest in the female fish.
Upon examination of the males the discovery was made that the males had female brains.
Female brains they concluded due to too much estrogen in the water.
A mother of twin sons who always wanted to play as girls play and dress as girl's dress started to study the Bible.
The one twin did not want to give up the course he was following, but the other twin was willing to give up female dress and live by biblical requirements to become as Christian.
As 1st Corinthians 6 v 11 A states '....and such ' were ' some of you.' [ ' were ' as in past tense ]
So, there have always been those like those of verses 9,10 that were willing to give up personal preferences for God.
Jesus was willing to forgo fornication and marriage too in order to do his Father's will.
Both Jesus and Job proved Satan a liar that under adverse conditions no one would be faithful.- Job 2 vs 4,5.
They both knew the present for them was temporary, but the coming healthy everlasting life would be permanent.
