I would post whats in my closet, but Im pretty basic.

Plus I have bills... LOL. I stopped worrying about fashion when I graduated from college. As long as my rent, car note, & utilities are paid then Im good.

Im about to start a new fashion trend. Imma staple my ATM/bank account slip under the little polo man. I may not be the flyest but I got money in the bank and investments.

the problem with your post is that you say because of the internet and the fact that cities have more stores is the reason they dont look up to nyc.

thats wrong and doesnt even make sense and isnt even near the reason.

us ny,ers wear stuff and others follow period. even with the access to internet people follow our trends, and no matter how much new stores you have people follow our trends.

2 - 3 years ago people laughed at ny rappers wearing fitted jeans claiming it was skinny jeans LMAO

now everyone wants to rock fiitted jeans
people do go to NY to shop but people also go to LA and Chicago as well. I know a lot of people here actually will go to the Chi first before anywhere. In some ways our styles are close. Just like I could imagine that cities more closer to LA will go to LA first

Anyone who doubts New York's reign on fashion in the United States is a fool.

I have been up and down the United States, and I've never seen anywhere the level of fashion that I see on a day to day basis in New York City.

I've even seen women in New York City wearing haute couture ($300k+ dresses) I've regularly see men walking around in suits so expensive you wouldn't believe it. I regularly see high fashion, etc. that I've only seen in London, Paris, or Milan. And yes, you can buy some of it online but something tells me greater New York City commands the greatest chunk of luxury sales on online shops.

And yes, New York City still reigns when it comes to non-luxury fashion. New York has high street brand like TopShop/TopMan, and smaller independent boutiques scattered throughout the city.

I've been to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, Dallas Chicago, etc and saw nothing even remotely approaching what I've seen in New York City. And I'm positive you wouldn't find it in Detroit either, LOL.

I'm sorry guys, but you're just not New York.
