Texas NEVER got as bad as CA is now and it's getting better while CA continues to get worse. I live in TX but work in both states and it's crystal clear that CA is still on the decline.

What's up with all the Texas vs. California threads anyway? The two states are very dissimilar. Too many variables are unaccounted for to compare them in any meaningful way. I just don't understand all the animus.
I don't know but just a few weeks ago there was lots of official Texas-bashing going on in Kalifornia prior to the elections. The whole state of Kalifornia in a hate-filled tizzy mostly because of two San Antonio oil companies apparently.
Al Gore and the Hollyweirdos did it ten years ago as well, with all of the lies about Texas and especially Houston, to try to gain politically over Bush.
Just about everything that can be done, grown, raised, built, taken from the ground, any sport ever played, any type of employment can be had some where in California. If you like snow you can get it, if you like sun we have plenty. LA is close to just about everything and lots of people to boot. But then if you want a quiet place you can find that near by as well. We have it all and very few places can say that.

Good. Let's boot some of them! Just kidding. Seriously, I have absolutely nothing against California. It's a beautiful state, at least in parts. I can say the same for Texas. So what's all the ruckus about?

If this is just going to be a smack-talking thread, rather than an exchange of ideas, it belongs in City vs. City. Thread moved and merged with the General US thread on the same subject.
