how much good can be attributed to that Enterprise fund???

Heck Bush was much better a Governor than Perry
I agree with you. Bush was better. I don't live in Texas anymore, but I'm not to fond of Perry. Businesses would've still come to Texas regardless if Perry was Gov or not. It was BOOMING and good for business before him, and it will be after him.

I'm sure it's a lot of fun. It's a lot of fun for us, too, but a little horrific, too. You are incredibly ignorant. You post statistics without ever delving any further into the meaning of those statistics. You had set out an agenda for yourself before you look at the numbers, so you aren't capable of interpreting them with any insight. You've fetishized businesses--I don't see how that goes exactly with being supportive of creativity and liberty of any sort. You're basically a fun little mess to watch.

Al Gore and the Hollyweirdos did it ten years ago as well, with all of the lies about Texas and especially Houston, to try to gain politically over Bush.
Yea, I think it's childish to pick on Texas. However, those two companies put a proposition on the ballot which has already cost California a lot of money, and had it passed, would have cost the state a hell of a lot more. I think it's okay to at least hate on the companies, yea?

You completely ignore the provocation but get upset by the reaction to a fellow Texas homer! Please look a little deeper and quite being offended by the reactions the OP knowingly provokes!

Nothing to do with California, but it displays Texas' "we don't care what others think" attitude.

Rick Perry on an interview a few weeks ago basically told a New York congressman we don't want to be like them & are the last state we want to emulate other than California being first.

Rick Perry is an idiot.

Look at this:

Homosexuality – We believe that the practice of homosexuality tears at the fabric of society, contributes to the breakdown
of the family unit, and leads to the spread of dangerous, communicable diseases. Homosexual behavior is contrary to the
fundamental, unchanging truths that have been
ordained by God, recognized by our country’s founders, and shared by the majority of Texans. Homosexuality must not be presented as an acceptable “alternative” lifestyle in our public education and policy, nor should “family” be redefined to include homosexual “couples.” We are opposed to any granting of special legal entitlements, refuse to recognize, or grant special privileges including, but not limited to: marriage between persons of the same sex (regardless of state of origin)custody of children by homosexuals, homosexual partner insurance or retirement benefits. We oppose any criminal or civil penalties against those who oppose homosexuality out of faith, conviction, or belief in traditional values.

Texas Sodomy StatutesWe oppose the legalization of sodomy. We demand that Congress exercise its authority granted by the U.S. Constitution to withhold jurisdiction from the federal courts from cases involving sodomy.

Pornography – We urge our governmental bodies to enforce laws regarding all forms of pornography. We urge more stringent legislation to prohibit all pornography including virtual pornography and operation of sexually–oriented businesses. We oppose the sale of “Not Rated” (NR) movies and video games to minors.

Morning After Pill – We oppose sale and use of the dangerous “Morning After Pill.”

Age of Consent – We support raising the age of consent for consensual sex to 18 years

Self-sufficient families, founded on the traditional marriage of a natural man and a natural woman

The sanctity of human life, created in the image of God

and you people call California a nanny state? It works both ways.

I dont care if he wears a tutu, if he is successful in doing that again, then all his oddities are a non-issue.

LOL

WOW, Perry seems very harsh on gay people.

I hope one day he will come to realize that once we peel away our layers of difference, we are not that different from him.
