DC will never be as 1% as good as Philly. It's just a boring government town with OK architecture (worse than Philly's)

Philly is an urban city, yet I've never actually had any desire to live there. Strange. My desire for D.C. however has really exploded and I'm hoping to take a trip up there soon.

The title of this thread is funny. "GOVERNMENT COMPLEX." How can a GOVERNMENT COMPLEX compete with anything?

He means SW DC, which was once a neighborhood, but was ripped apart in the '60s and '70s when the district declared eminent domain over everything.

(Someone asked where DC's White ethnic neighborhoods are--the SW west of 4.5 st once was).

I know exactly what he's talking about. The use of eminent domain in that case came before the Supreme Court in 1954 in Berman v. Parker.

It's too bad about the ACC. I forgot why it was never built, used to follow its development since 2009 IIRC.

The Economic crash killed it. Liberty Property Trust owns the lot now, so there is a bright future ahead for that lot.
