Yeah people do. Are you serious? ATL is a premier party spot for blacks in the US. "I'm going to ATL for my Bday". I've heard that a hundred times.
Where do you live? I haven't heard many people in DC, NYC, Philly, Bmore, or Boston say they were flying to the south outside of Miami for anything except the beach.

Other than Freaknik which is dead, nobody on the east goes flips out to go to Atlanta. From DC on up to NYC, everybody talks about the MIA as the party spot. There's this place called "South Beach" that everyone talks about.
Yeah, but that doesn't really have anything to do with nightlife. I can hear the advertisement now: "What's good Chocolate City? Come out and party wit ya boy Bret Baier at Lux Lounge, you know my girl Sarah Palin is gonna be in the house too."

Not even when Freak-nick was still going on? Really? Interesting....Nevermind, I saw him mention Freak-nick.
But that's where you are wrong. I went to a CNN party at Union Station and they rented out the entire hall and had a few R&B acts there. These stations throw big a$$ parties with open bar. Contrary to what most of you people believe, most politicians drink and party but they do some exclusive over the top type of sh&t that the average joe doesn't get access to. DC is king when it comes to these type of events.
Yeah, but we're talking about average joes here mainly. Plus I'm pretty sure that this isn't an every weekend occurrence like it is with the celeb-hosted parties in Atlanta. That's just Atlanta's forte and they pretty much have it all over every other city of similar size (probably except Miami) when it comes to that. I'm not saying it's better or worse overall, but you've got to give it that much.

Yeeeaaaaahhhhh.....lol.
Umm..this is DC. Stars come through here a dime a dozen. We have so many places to party here we don't keep track of who is here and who isn't.
I mean Lil Wayne, Drake & John Wall all partied at Love this night and I couldn't care less. If I had planned to go out that night and I decided to go to the 3 level Love Night Club, then so be it but who cares.
So how many of you groupies actually know a star and will be in their entourage. This is city-data.com. I don't even tell my friends I'm on here lol...

So ATL's nightlife, can't hold a candle to DC's? Based on what exactly? A couple of lounges?
People are saying this according to their own personal preferences. Mine are actually more in line with DC's nightlife scene, but I'd be crazy to think that everybody likes what I like especially since I prefer a more subdued scene on a regular basis anyway. Hell, for the most part, it's just a bunch of Black dudes 21-35 carrying this discussion anyway. That skewers things significantly.
