Just as many Houston natives are in Atlanta. People want to move to Atlanta. People have to move to Houston. Plus Atlanta offers them way more stuff to do. I never heard anyone here say "let's fly to Houston for the weekend?"
Just because people move there during our recession doesn't mean they like Houston. They just trying to survive.
Stop acting like people are moving there because it's Houston. No they are moving there because of jobs. If those same jobs where in a other city they would have moved to that city
This entire post is a joke. I don't ever hear people say lets fly to Atlanta either for the weekend. If you think is atlanta is much different than houston in this regard, you need a reality check.

LOL, yeah Atlanta is more of a business city or a city that people club and party in while they are in town for something else. It's definitely not one of those cities where people from around the country say, "Hey, let's fly to Atlanta for the weekend!" At most, since it's a popular city for blacks, it gets a lot of black visitors from smaller towns and rural areas who like to go there because it's the closet place that really has many entertainment options for them or geared towards them. But Houston functions the same way in its respective region, so no need to act like Atlanta is NYC or LA compared to Houston.

And honestly, I have never met a soul that said they wanted to move to Atlanta.
Spade, I respect the opinion in many of your posts. You come across as fair and balanced. But, you know damn well that an above average amount within the 'who's who' of black entertainment, pro-sports or general black celebrity period, have (or have had) first or second residences in the Atlanta area.
Though, I cannot dispute that you never met a soul who said they wanted to move to Atlanta. lol

I wouldn't doubt if they are transplants who just moved on to the next city.
Yeah. A lot of the people who leave Atlanta probably aren't natives. Fulton County has some of the highest population churn of any county in the U.S. The only county that's higher, I believe, is Arlington County, Virginia.
