The Wealth-X "study" claims there's more wealth in Kansas City than in Miami. I think it's reasonable to say that it's complete and utter garbage.

SF has Jan Brady syndrome. No matter how they do, no one cares. Because they are ugly and boring. LA is just a more sexy place to be.

Why do you think SF boostets always have to remind you of how great they are?

Versus NYC and LA, where it is simply assumed.

But back to this:

LOL

Im just saying, Bel Air is very nice, but there's something about a rich. urban feeling neighborhood that just exudes a prestige and class that you cant really find in more suburban settings.

On the West Coast, it doesnt get more prestigious than Pacific Heights.

my pics.

Pacific Heights isn't close to the most prestigious West Coast neighborhood.

And while it's certainly more urban than Bel Air, no one would move to Pacific Heights for urbanity. It's mostly detached single family homes with yards, and with poor public transit and limited streetlife. It isn't even very urban for SF standards.

Ya nothing says prestige like a bum taking a poo on the steps of your urban shoe box. LoL

SF is expensive because they refuse to build enough housing. LA is expensive because it is better than where ever you grew up.

In other words, one gets the best of all worlds.

And absolutely YES, Pacific Heights is the MOST prestigious residential neighborhood on the West Coast, by far. Largest concentration of urban mansions, 20 resident billionaires and 10,000 millionaires, etc. in the heart of The City no less! What a dream! No neighborhood in LA even comes close. I don't even know why your disputing this. LOL

Google

Even the Bay Area's tech royalty puts their money in more desirable markets. Yeah, the home purchase might be related to Google's massive Manhattan presence (something like 5,000 employees and 3 million square feet of space). Google, after all, is basically a holding company at this point, and the nontechnical staff should be in a global city, not a Silicon Valley office park.

But it also speaks to the Bay Area's relative (lack of) desirability compared to NYC, LA, London, Paris, etc. SF is a very good city, but also a long way from top-tier. The tech talent is 90% around San Jose, 50 miles to the south. Global elites don't want to live in Cupertino tract homes and eat at Applebees, which is the typical SV lifestyle. They want a global city.
What is this anti-Applebee's fetish LOL. You keep using it as a example of low caliber, unsophisticated Americans go there? Well MANY COLLEGE KIDS DO TOO. They also employ them by me...

Oh guess Texas Roadhouse is too.. lowly me... I ate at one today.... Wasn't bad at all. No reservation months in advance needed. LOL.

Why are you getting worse at demeaning whole groups of Americans now? Does your list ever end.... of your next person, middle-class suburban Americans now? Name calling even in threads?

It is all the rest wrong. You are right. It just seems to be getting worse.

So sowwy, but New York City is the only truly impressive location on your entire list.

Those LA properties are massive, resort-sized campuses. LOL. SO NOT IMPRESSED.

This spells it out your epic FAIL in bloody detail.

This massive palace and acres this big would be worth $483 Million in Pacific Heights.

I mean really, how gauche.
