I was in Dallas this past Monday. It was a nice crisp 78f out.

Btw this is my picture. Decided to post one since this thread is about to shut down.

Have you been to Little Ethiopia (Greenville and Forrest) in Dallas?

Have you been to Vickery Meadows?

Have you been to South Garland?

Have you been to Irving?

If Houston's African community feels more co-hesive, its because its a lot less diverse (Nigerian centric) than a Dallas or Atlanta.
You're REALLY exaggerating here calling these "African" neighborhoods.

Theres nowhere in Texas that I would call an "African Neighborhood". Just areas with higher than normal African presence. The ones I mentioned are examples. Mission Bend and Alief would be examples in Houston.

But none are enclaves.

If someone is looking for a major Texas city with temps as mild and stable as possible, then Houston would be his/her best bet.
That's the function of being inland. Continental climates are known for their extreme weather. Too bad it's not more widely known!

The only change would be:

Fort Worth, Dallas, Austin, Houston/San Antonio

El Paso because it really is a cool place. Kind of reminds me of LA without the water to your left.
