I picked pumpkins, blueberries, and strawberries. When I buy blueberries in Florida, they say product of NEW JERSEY. The strawberries are a product of Mexico.

Oranges are all you will get local here. Everything else is probably from Mexico or South America, or New Jersey.

Must be a Naples thing, or the store you are going to. I can find a lot of produce grown in Florida.

The best strawberries on the East Coast come from Plant City, just East of Tampa. They actually have a huge FESTIVAL to celebrate the harvest every year.

The sweetest corn in the Southeast comes from Zellwood, just to the NW of Orlando. Another site of a huge annual festival to celebrate the crops.

There are many, many blueberry farms just to the North of you in my State. I grow my own, though. Sweet and wonderful.

Funny how the Publix stores in Metro Atlanta stock all of these items, but the stores in your area - much closer to the source, do not.

Either the Naples Publix is on some sort of local produce lock-down, or you are simply so miserable you are making all of this up.

Absolutely. The leaves DO change in North Florida, from around Gainesville all the way up to Tallahassee and across the Panhandle to Pensacola. And there are pumpkins and hayrides, believe it or not.

AGAIN, Naples is NOT representative of the entire, rather huge State. It is a VERY small corner of a huge and diverse State.

Your blind hatred is again clouding the true reality of the situation there.

Yes, I'm sure your lovely Acme's & Pathmarks have just fabulous fruit - probably all from Florida.

I actually buy all my fruit and vegetables fresh from the numerous farmers markets in the area. And most of the fruit is Jersey grown, thanks for asking. Got to love those Jersey tomatoes!

Interesting how you avail yourself of farmers markets in NJ, but have claimed they don't exist in Orlando.

Like I said before, I find much better quality fruit in the north then I ever did in Florida. The cheaper prices is a big bonus.
